The new buildings are a hybrid between low-rise and a high-rise. The building mass creates a microclimate greatly enhancing the usability of the garden. The higher parts accommodate also offices and work spaces in addition to apartments.

One of the problems of Peltosaari is that most of the buildings have unclear, undefined outdoor areas, often directly at a street. Our solution addresses this and creates small communities with their own gardens and outdoor areas, enabling natural social control since people will know each other.
